13:37 GMT, 13th April 2014

Premier League title hangs in the balance as Manuel Pellegrini takes his Manchester City side to visit Anfield against Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool who were hardly considered title challengers when the Premier league season started.

Liverpool inspired by their amazing strike force of Suarez and Sturridge under the leadership of Steven Gerard and some brilliant tactical display from Rodgers have seen themselves punching above the weights and fighting for the title.

Manchester City under new boss Manuel Pellegrini were always the contenders with their talented squad and have not let down their fans as the Citizens are four points adrift of Liverpool with two games in hand.

Both sides have been at their free flowing best this season as premier league has seen a total of 174 goals in 64 games from these two sides at the rate of 2.71 goals per game.

There are no fresh injury concern for both sides as both Manuel Pellegrini and Brendan Rodgers will have their full strenght of sides to choose from.

Jose Enrique is still out for the hosts while defender Daniel Agger is likely to shake off the knock and start this one for the home side.

Brendan Rodgers is likely to start Lucas for this one as the Brazilian should provide much needed strength and steel in the middle of the park.

Sterling is likely to start on the wings for the home side in place of Brazilian Coutinho as the England youngster could be selected because of his defensive work rate.

City on the other hand are boosted by the return of talisman Sergio Aguero but the Argentine could start this one on the bench as Manuel Pellegrini looks to rest his star for the clash due to lack of match fitness.

Mathija Nastasic and Micah Richards are still out for the home side with an injury and full back Alexander Kolarov could start this one instead of Gael Clichy.

Edin Dzeko should lead the line for the Blues as Alvaro Negredo is likely to be benched for the clash.

Possible Lineups :

Liverpool : Mignolet; Flanagan, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson; Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson; Sterling, Sturridge, Suarez.

Manchester City : Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Kolarov; Fernandinho, Toure; Navas, Silva, Nasri; Dzeko.

Editor’s Prediction :

The Clash promises to be an epic battles as two free flowing attacking side go head to head in a possible title decider. Liverpool have been slightly fragile at the back that could play into the hands of City but with the Anfield form of the home side , the clash looks to be epic. Expecting the share of spoils at the full time.

Full Time Score : Liverpool 2-2 Manchester City
